Welcome to the Florida Alliance of Home Care Services

FAHCS at work for YOU!

During the FAHCS Meeting this week, we met with David Rogers, Asst. Dept. Secretary for AHCA. Mr. Rogers was very accommodating and informative. During our discussions he provided us a link to submit complaints, concerns and issues on the provider level and also stated we should encourage the Medicaid Beneficiaries to use the same link or phone number. Mr. Rogers also indicated that in many cases the Beneficiary concerns can be addressed and resolved while on the phone with AHCA.

Log on to the Online Complaint Form at http://ahca.myflorida.com/smmc or call 1-800-226-6735 to speak to a Medicaid Rep.

The purpose of this tool is to provide a centralized database to provide actuaries with data to support necessary alterations to the program. Please encourage detailed encounter information to support the resolution process.

AWP Bill WITHDRAWN!

Congratulations FAHCS members - Great work! A threat to Repeal AWP has subsided in the senate and the bill is withdrawn. Senator Rene Garcia (Republican-Hialeah) has filed an amendment to SB 2512 which would repeal the 'any willing provider law' for DME.
